Evaluation of food frequency questionnaire

 

In order to validate the FFQ of the participants in the study of Azar Cohort, the volunteered individuals also participated in the validation plan of the food frequency questionnaire. 180 individuals were studied which through their information FFQ will be completed at the beginning of the study and a year later. Besides, a 24-hour questionnaire recall for them is completed for 12 months, twice in every month. During the study, 20 of 180 participants who were interested in cooperation with the blood bank section give 24- hour blood and urine tests. CBC, lipid profile, liver enzymes, BUN, Cr and FBS are studied. Some specialized experiments will be performed more on the samples stored in the freezer -80°c.

Food habits questionnaire

This questionnaire includes 30 questions about ways of cooking and food maintenance, the number of the consumed meals, the consumed temperature of food and also warm herbal drink. Moreover, in a separate part, questions were asked about the consumed nutritional supplements of the participants.
